In the 1950’s Dr. David Simpson established Cullman Veterinary Hospital, caring for both large and small animals. In 1985, Dr. Steve Murphree moved home to Cullman, Alabama and purchased the hospital. He made the difficult decision in 1989 to move the hospital’s focus to small animals only. Dr. Dana Kessler joined the practice in 1990, bringing with her a vast knowledge of small animal medicine and a great appreciation for learning new techniques and treatments. Dr. Bonds came to CVH in 2011. Her compassion for patients and her ease with their owners has made her an asset to our office. Dr. Tom “Big Doc” Williamson, a long time Cullman veterinarian, relocated his practice to CVH in 2017. Since his retirement from seeing patients in the office in 2020, he has continued to serve as a mentor to staff and doctors, and he continues to provide phone consultation services to his long-term clients
