US VETERINARY MARKET DATA
We built the list no one publishes.
Every state licenses its own vets, in its own format. We pull all 50 into one dataset — who’s licensed, where they work, and who owns the practice — for teams hiring vets, buying practices, or selling to them.
01 / WHY THIS IS HARD
No one publishes this list
Fifty states, fifty formats
Every state licenses its own vets and publishes them its own way. There is no national register to download.
A license isn’t an employer
A license tells you someone exists. It doesn’t tell you who they work for. That has to be worked out separately.
The owner isn’t the name on the door
Practice ownership sits behind management companies and state-by-state LLCs. The independent clinic often isn’t.
02 / HOW WE KNOW WHAT WE KNOW
So we built it
The licenses
All 50 state boards. Every license pulled, duplicates matched across state lines — someone licensed in three states is still one person. About 125,000 in total.
Where they actually work
Practice websites and public profiles, to work out who employs whom. When we matched our 125,000 against LinkedIn, roughly two-thirds weren’t there — which is why a generic B2B database can’t do this job.
The map
Every practice geocoded, with drive times and Census data over the top — income, population density, pet ownership. It’s how “nearby” becomes a number instead of a guess.
What people say
Google reviews, scored for sentiment and read for what they say about a practice — where it’s struggling, where it’s strong.
Building this is the work. It’s why the file is right.
03 / HIRING
You want to hire vets for your practices
Know how many vets you can actually hire near each clinic — before a role sits open for six months.
How we help with hiringWHAT YOU GET
The data
Every licensed DVM, RVT, and LVT near each of your clinics — not a national file you have to filter yourself.
The analysis
How many of them you could realistically hire, per location. Some markets are full. Better to know which ones.
The outreach
We can match candidates to your open roles and sync them into your ATS. Or run the outreach ourselves.
PROOF
"A 60-clinic network used our data to make 20+ hires in 12 months, and stopped sending most of that work to outside recruiters."
04 / BUYING PRACTICES
You want to acquire or open practices
Know who really owns a practice, and whether enough vets live close enough to staff it.
How we help with acquisitionsWHAT YOU GET
The data
Who actually owns the practice — through the holding company, not the name on the door. And every licensed vet in the area.
The analysis
Doctors per capita, who else is competing nearby, what the area looks like on income and pet ownership, and what the reviews say about the practice you’re buying.
The outreach
If you want to talk to owners — including ones who aren’t looking to sell — we can reach them for you.
PROOF
"We checked staffing feasibility on a retiring owner’s practice — was there enough talent nearby to run it once they left — before the LOI went in."
05 / SELLING TO PRACTICES
You want to sell to practices or networks
Know which practices exist in your segment, who owns them, and which can use what you sell.
How we help with salesWHAT YOU GET
The data
Practices and the people who own them, scoped to the market you sell into — built from licence records, not inherited from a generic B2B database.
The analysis
Where the practices worth selling to actually are, and which ones can use what you sell.
The outreach
We can run it — the conversations with owners, not just the file that lists them.
PROOF
"A service vendor needed to sell to practice owners. We scoped the data, found the contact details, and ran the outreach."
06 / ENGAGEMENT MODEL
How We Work With You
Data
A dataset built for your question — the geography you care about, the detail you need, delivered as a file or straight into your CRM. If another source matters for your question, we merge it in. Every record carries source attribution and a confidence score.
Activation
We can also do the reaching out. Candidates, practice owners, whoever the data points at. Most of the time the data is the job. Sometimes what you actually need is the conversations.
Timeline
Four weeks for most projects. Six to eight if you need the whole country.
Investment
Projects start at $10,000–$15,000. Built for multi-site operators, buyers, and sales teams — not single clinics.
06 / WHAT WE'VE DONE
Three jobs. Three examples.
Same data, three different decisions.
Hiring
A 60-clinic network used our data to make 20+ hires in 12 months, and stopped sending most of that work to outside recruiters.
Buying a practice
A buyer was looking at a practice whose owner was retiring. They needed to know if enough vets lived nearby to staff it once the owner left. We counted, mapped the area, and answered before the LOI went in.
Selling to practices
A service vendor needed to sell to practice owners. We scoped the data, found the contact details, and ran the outreach.
07 / HOW WE WORK
We’d rather ship less and be right
Data Ethics
How we handle data from sensitive sources
Read MoreWhat that means
Every record carries where it came from and how confident we are in it. Records we can’t stand behind get removed, even when that makes the file smaller. A smaller file you can trust beats a big one you can’t.
08 / WHO WE ARE
Who we are
We’re a small team that builds veterinary datasets and, when it helps, runs the outreach on top of them. We care about whether the data is right, not how big the file is.
Client work runs from New York. Data engineering runs from Paris.
