Dr. Amy Laws grew up in small town, Nashville, Arkansas. Her love of veterinary medicine started at the tender age of 8. She got a job working for Dr. Russ Smith when she was in high school, cleaning kennels and assisting with patients. Dr. Amy attended undergraduate school at Southern Arkansas University for two years and was then accepted into Louisiana State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her degree in 1997 and moved to northeast Arkansas. After meeting her future husband, Tim, on a blind date, they married and relocated to Harrisburg. She worked as an associate for doctors in Northeast Arkansas before opening her own clinic in Harrisburg in 2014
