Dr. Hayes partnered with Dr. Larry Franks right out of LSU. In 2014, Dr. Steven Alexander joined, and Dr. Hayes mentored him. Dr. Hayes purchased the business, then called Franks Hayes Animal Hospital. In 2016, Dr. Larry Franks retired, and the business was changed to Magnolia Veterinary Services. Dr. Steven Alexander then became a Partner. In 2023, after navigating the difficulties of Veterinary Medicine during the Pandemic and looking at retiring, Dr. Hayes discussed and agreed with Dr. Alexander to Partner with HVP in 2023
