Vet SurgiCare is a mobile surgical specialty practice serving Northern Arizona. Being a mobile practice means that Dr. Schaible brings her advanced surgical skills and specialized equipment to your family veterinarian’s hospital. This allows your family pet to have the expertise of a board-certified specialist with the familiarity of your primary veterinarian and their staff. Your family member will benefit from shorter wait times, less travel distances, and lower stress

Dr. Megan Schaible is an Arizona native and grew up in Chino Valley. She attended the University of Arizona for her Bachelor of Science (2003). Then attended Michigan State University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (2007). Upon graduation she first worked in Arenas Valley, NM, and then Chino Valley and Flagstaff, AZ in mixed animal practice (2007-2011). She then elected to pursue advanced training completing a rotating internship at Sonora Veterinary Specialists in Phoenix and a surgical internship at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Indiana. Dr. Schaible then completed her 3-year surgical residency at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown, PA (2016). Dr. Schaible then returned to Arizona and received her Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (2017). She spent six years at Southwest Veterinary Surgical Services as a staff surgeon. During that time, she worked with and helped train veterinary students, interns and specialty residents. Having a goal to provide advanced surgical care for pets in Northern Arizona led to her establishing Vet SurgiCare in January 2023
