Overview
Northern Arizona's Only Urgent Care Facility for Pets. Urgent Care clinics like Urgent Pet Prescott (UPP) are set up to assist pets with an illness or injury that does not appear to be life-threatening, but also shouldn't wait until the next day, or for the primary care veterinarian to see them
When northern Arizona's only veterinary emergency hospital abruptly closed its doors during COVID-19, leaving the region's pets and their families without this vital resource, practice manager Nikki Frost and Dr. Amie Dow quickly mobilized to open Yavapai Emergency Animal Hospital (YEAH) two weeks later, in the summer of 2020. Fast forward two and a half years and Urgent Pet Prescott was opened to fill in yet another gap in care for animals throughout the region. Additional urgent care locations are planned for the near future. Independently owned and operated, we are able to quickly respond to the needs of the community and our goal is to serve as a vital resource for pets and their families in Northern Arizona

What reviewers say
Urgent Pet Prescott is an independent veterinary urgent care practice that provides accessible medical services and compassionate end-of-life care when regular clinics are closed. The facility is exceptionally clean and features a welcoming, calming environment designed to reduce stress for both pets and their owners. The veterinary team and support staff are widely regarded as highly knowledgeable, patient, and exceptionally gentle, frequently accommodating anxious or reactive animals with care. Treatment options and associated costs are explained thoroughly with transparent estimates, allowing pet owners to maintain control over care decisions without feeling pressured by unnecessary upsells. While occasional long wait times and billing concerns arise, the practice is broadly valued for its prompt attention, thorough follow-up communication, and supportive approach during both routine urgent issues and difficult health transitions.
