Overview
Tucson’s University Pet Clinic excels in the general practice veterinarian care of dogs and cats. University Pet Clinic is not an "assembly-line" pet care service—here, your pet is treated like one of the family, in the reception area, exam room, or in surgery. We offer outstanding pet and client care by our veterinarians. We assure that our experienced, highly skilled veterinary technicians work in a superior environment and are provided with continued education opportunities to help them be "the best of the best."
University Pet Clinic was founded in 1992 by Dr. Richard T. Schorr, DVM, and his family. Dr. Schorr grew up on a ranch south of Tucson. He did his undergraduate studies at University of Arizona and went on to graduate from veterinary school in 1962 from Colorado State University. Dr. Schorr was a Research Fellow at the Royal Veterinary College in Stockholm, Sweden, where he studied surgery and radiology. There, he met and married his wife, and returned to Arizona. He and his wife raised their 4 children on a farm in western Washington and he practiced small animal medicine for 26 years in Tacoma, WA. In 1990, Dr. Schorr and his wife decided to move back to Arizona, along with 3 of the 4 children. He opened University Pet Clinic in 1991
Mission — University Pet Clinic’s mission is to provide the highest standard of veterinary care for your pet, exceeding any other. We encourage you, as pet owners, to ask questions and play a pro-active role in your pet’s preventative care
