Dr. Ortmayer finished her undergraduate studies at Montana State University. She went on to Colorado State University to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1985. After graduating, she joined Covina Animal Hospital as an associate Veterinarian. When Dr. Chatfield retired in 1994, Dr. Ortmayer and her husband Rick purchased the hospital and still own it today
