The Animal Clinic of Encino was established in the San Fernando Valley, operating as a small animal general practice with a specialty in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. The practice moved to its current location in 1997, conveniently located near the 101 and 405 freeways in Los Angeles. Dr. Tina Chang took over in 2001, continuing operation as a small animal general practice with the primary goal of providing high quality medicine with optimal compassion toward the patient and the pet owner

We provide individualized evaluations and treatment for various skin and ear diseases commonly seen in Southern California.A clean, quiet, open facility to minimize the stress response of a hospital experience for the patient.Neurology: Common neurological abnormalities encountered and diagnosed include intervertebral disc disease, idiopathic epilepsy, old dog vestibular disease, brain tumors, and degenerative myelopathy.Surgery: Spay, neuter, elective gastropexy, wound repairs, cystotomy, splenectomy, intestinal foreign body removal, and tumor excision.Internal Medicine: Diabetes, kidney failure, urinary dysfunction, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, Cushings and Addisons Diseases, heart failure, gastrointestinal disease, and pulmonary ailments.Ophthalmology: Corneal ulceration, glaucoma, cataracts, uveitis, prolapsed glands of the nictitans, allergic and bacterial conjunctivitis, dry eyes, and eyelid tumors.Dermatology: Ear infection and itchy skin are the top reasons pets find themselves at the animal clinic.Dentistry: Periodontal disease is treatable and preventable. We utilize digital dental radiography.Gerontology: As our pets age, degenerative changes will occur that may interfere with their quality of life.In-House Laboratory: On site diagnostic ability allows early diagnosis and immediate treatment for specific disease.Referral Philosophy: We will find the specialist necessary to treat your pet's needs if we are unable to accomplish that.Oncology: Cancer diagnosis based on finding location and identification via microscopic examination.Radiology: We utilize digital radiography.Microchip Implants: We use ResQ Chip, an ISO compatible microchip.
