Overview
We built Feathers and Fur with a simple vision: to be a transformative presence in the Southern California avian community. To push the standard of care to new heights. To bring Gold-Standard care to your home
Dr. G founded Feathers and Fur Animal Hospital in 2021 with the goal of providing high-quality, compassionate mobile veterinary services to companion animals in San Diego. In early 2023, Dr. G acquired Eastridge Animal Hospital in La Mesa, which has been a legacy veterinary clinic since 1970, originally built and owned by Dr. McKittrick, and then Dr. Reese who developed a canine physical rehabilitation center and cat-exclusive practice

What reviewers say
This veterinary practice delivers exceptional, compassionate care with a strong emphasis on avian and exotic animal medicine alongside traditional dogs and cats. The veterinary team is widely recognized for their deep knowledge, thorough explanations, and gentle handling of anxious pets, often integrating thoughtful treatment plans tailored to individual pet needs and budgets. The clinic environment is generally welcoming, featuring supportive front desk staff and robust follow-up care. While the majority of visitors experience dedicated attention and high-quality service, wait times can occasionally be extended, and pricing and administrative communication receive mixed experiences from some visitors.
