We are an ambulatory large animal veterinary practice that serves the county of San Luis Obispo, California, as well as Southern Monterey, Northern Santa Barbara and Western Kern counties. Our practice cares for most species, including (but not limited to) horses, cattle, pigs, goats, camelids and sheep. We provide a wide range of services such as Performance and Therapeutic Equine Dentistry, reproduction, individual and herd preventative health consultation and administration, lameness, prepurchase and more
Large Animal Practice was started in 1973 when Dr. Gary Evans purchased the Large Animal portion of Dr. Dave Wixom’s mixed animal practice. On July 4, 1976, the practice moved to its present location on Cimarron Way, in Los Osos, California
