Overview

At Feather River Veterinary Hospital, we treat your pets like family, dedicating ourselves to delivering exceptional veterinary care in Marysville. Since Dr. Matt Tucker and his wife, Katie, acquired the hospital on May 1, 2003, they have been committed to their dream of enhancing the lives of pets and their owners, ensuring they enjoy the highest quality of life together

In May 2003, our founders Dr. Matt Tucker and his wife, Katie Tucker, proudly took ownership of Feather River Veterinary Hospital (FRVH). Dr. Tucker earned his BS in Biology from Santa Clara University and graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He began his veterinary career at Crestwood Animal Hospital in Ridge Crest, California. He further honed his skills during a surgical internship at Animal Specialty Group in the Los Angeles Area from 1997-1998. Following this, he applied his expertise at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital, a referral and emergency practice in Santa Rosa, California. It was at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital that Dr. Tucker met Katie, who was working as a surgical veterinary assistant. Their shared passion for veterinary care led them to purchase Feather River Veterinary Hospital and relocate to Yuba City

What reviewers say

85% Positive sentiment
based on 235 reviews

Feather River Veterinary Hospital is widely regarded for its highly knowledgeable, compassionate veterinary care and fair pricing. The primary veterinarian is consistently praised for taking the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses, discuss options, and handle anxious or difficult pets with exceptional patience and gentleness. The broader support team is frequently described as friendly, professional, and genuinely dedicated to animal wellbeing. While the facility itself is older, the quality of medical care remains a strong focal point for loyal visitors. However, securing timely appointments can be challenging due to high demand, and phone interactions with front desk staff occasionally result in frustration regarding scheduling availability.
