Overview

Rancho Del Oro is leading Oceanside Vet Hospital helping shape the health of our beloved animals. Treating each animal brought to her as if it were her own, Dr. Morris focuses on the pet’s quality of life. She works with pet owners as part of what she sees as a team effort to help animals stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible

Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Morris decided to become a veterinarian at the age of 13, when she and her family took an injured rabbit to the San Francisco Zoo to receive medical treatment. She later received her bachelor’s degree in zoology, with honors, from the University of California, Berkeley. In 1992, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis. During a one-year internship in Sacramento, Dr. Morris specialized in small animal medicine and surgery and obtained in-depth training and experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Morris began working in general practice in the neighborhood where she grew up, spending two years at Balboa Pet Hospital with Dr. Paul Clary. After marrying Dr. Ned Morris in 1995, Dr. Cecilia Morris moved to San Diego County, where she spent three years at a general practice in Clairemont and another three years in North County. Drs. Ned and Cecilia Morris acquired the Rancho Del Oro Veterinary Hospital in Oceanside and began practicing here in 2000
