Overview
A board-certified veterinary surgeon specializing in orthopedic, soft tissue, reconstructive, and other surgeries and procedures for pets. Proudly serving the local community, our facility was established by local veterinarians to offer a state-of-the-art surgical environment, ensuring the highest standard of care for surgical patients
Dr. Frank Borostyankoi was the founder of Inland Empire Veterinary Surgical Specialty, which opened in 2021, and Bakersfield Regional Surgical Specialty, which opened in 2017. Due to his vast experience, Dr. Borostyankoi became a respected consultant in small animal orthopedics for the Southern California veterinary community. His research experience with surgical methods contributed to developing and advancing better orthopedic methods and technology. He invented and improved several orthopedic implants. He also contributed to the continuous education of fellow veterinarians and lectured in the US and abroad. With the leadership of Dr. Frank Borostyankoi, DVM DACVS, a new concept was developed to provide the highest level of surgical care at a competitive price: Multi-location and single-discipline Regional Veterinary Surgical Centers. This concept revolutionized the veterinary industry. Focused on one specialty only, the client experience was optimized to deliver the highest quality service at the lowest possible industry price. The One-Day Surgical Center concept has been a proven method of providing surgical care in the human field for decades in Europe. Surgical Specialty Centers focused on surgical cases that could be scheduled within a few days, including elective surgeries, non-emergency trauma cases, and oncology-related and non-emergency neurologic cases. Out of all the surgical cases, over 85% were non-emergency and could be safely and efficiently performed within 1-5 days after the initial diagnosis
