Overview

Inna Veterinary Acupuncture provides house call services for dogs and cats throughout San Mateo, Foster City, San Carlos and the surrounding areas. My mission is to help you and your companion pets enjoy a long, fulfilling relationship while offering the highest and most personal level of veterinary care available, all in the comfort of your home. I firmly believe in the power of the human-animal bond, and my hope is to nurture that connection between pets and their people. I use an integrative approach to give my patients and their owners as many options as possible when treating illness and disease. As a mobile veterinarian, my goal is to ensure that pets have access to compassionate and fully supportive care. My practice focuses on geriatric care for older pets, but I’m happy to provide services to younger animals as well

After earning my Veterinary Medical Degree in 2002 from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Ko ice, Slovak Republic, I obtained my US Veterinary license through Purdue University and moved to the Bay Area. Following the completion of a small animal internship with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group in 2005, I joined a busy small animal practice in Daly City, focusing on client education, preventative care, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. I stumbled upon acupuncture while recovering from an acute lower back pain. I realized not only that my pain had greatly improved following each session, but how my mood improved, stress level lowered and over all there was a sense of balance and calm. Learning that animals can also benefit greatly from acupuncture and other Eastern Medical modalities, I felt compelled to embark on a journey studying the many ways we can help our pets and ourselves in addition to what Western Medicine is offering. This led to the certification in Small Animal Veterinary Acupuncture through the Chi University (formerly Chi Institute) in 2015. That same year I started the house call service, allowing a more personalized approach to patient care with emphasis on blending Eastern and Western modalities for the best outcomes, emphasizing fear free methods techniques, reducing stress to both pets and their owners. In 2019, I became certified in Veterinary Tui Na (acupressure) from the Chi University in Florida. I paired this with classes in Chinese herbal medicine and training in food therapy. Acupressure, herbal medicine, and food therapy, rooted in ancient philosophies modified and updated with today's knowledge, has been a great way for owners to provide ongoing support for their pets at home. In 2021, I returned to working part-time with a general practice while maintaining my house call business
