Overview

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) has been a 24-hour emergency and specialty animal hospital for over 23 years. Our team of highly skilled and specialized veterinarians, certified technicians, and support staff provide veterinary specialty and emergency care for your pet’s emergencies and complex health needs, serving Parker, Castle Rock, Centennial, and the surrounding areas

AESC was founded in 2001 by veterinarians who recognized a need for after-hours veterinary care in the Parker/Franktown/Elizabeth areas. The original location was less than 1,000 square feet and located on Parker Road at Plaza Drive. Within a year, the demand for care grew and AESC expanded its service to include Surgery in addition to 24/7/365 Emergency Care. By 2004, AESC had outgrown the original facility and opened the doors to the current location. At the new location, we treated 200-400 emergency patients per month and expanded into specialty services like Critical Care and Diagnostic Imaging. Over the years, we added Internal Medicine with non-invasive endoscopic procedures, Oncology with a wide range of chemotherapy options, Rehabilitation with an underwater treadmill, and Neurology with an MRI scanner. In 2020-2021, AESC underwent a major renovation to grow the facility to 20,000 square feet. This expansion included a new 16-slice GE Brightspeed CT scanner, mobile fluoroscopy unit, four additional surgery suites, and a more capable 23X MRI scanner. In addition, we added a 1000 square foot workspace for our rehabilitation team including two underwater treadmills and a brand-new oncology ward. Today we continue to grow and strive to offer a comprehensive array of services and the best patient care available in the area. Our most recent service additions include a board-certified anesthesiologist and two additional board-certified radiologists

Mission — AESC is dedicated to improving the lives of the pets in our community by providing advanced specialty and 24/7 emergency care with expertise and compassion
