Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic was born out of our desire to eliminate the needless practice of euthanasia of unwanted litters of companion animals in Fairfield County and our neighboring communities. We began in 2006 as FeralCare, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer group holding monthly spay/neuter clinics. After six years, we realized that a permanent, weekday facility that performs affordable spay/neuter surgeries and wellness care for all cats and dogs is the only way our efforts would make a meaningful impact. Since 2012, our clinic has performed over 55,000 spay/neuter surgeries to stop the overpopulation of cats and dogs
Mission — Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic provides reduced cost spay/neuter services for cats & dogs throughout Connecticut and beyond. We aim to end pet overpopulation, reduce the practice of euthanasia, and provide care to animals living within underserved and impoverished households in our area
