Overview

At Talleyville Veterinary Hospital, we’re more than just a leading veterinarian in Wilmington, DE – we’re animal lovers through and through. Our animal hospital cares for patients as if they were our own, and we go above and beyond to keep your pet happy and healthy

Originally called Concord Animal Hospital, the practice was opened by Dr. Schwartz in 1984 to serve the new neighborhoods springing up along the Route 202 corridor. In 1997, Dr. Stephen Butler bought the practice as a satellite facility for his Centreville hospital and renamed it Talleyville Veterinary Hospital. He remodeled the hospital into a fully capable medical, surgical and boarding facility. After Dr. Butler’s sudden passing in 2003, the future of Talleyville was uncertain. However, in September 2004, it was announced that Talleyville Veterinary Hospital was to merge with Windcrest Animal Hospital, a state-of-the-art hospital in Wilmington. The relationship with Windcrest allows for the most up-to-date medical care 24 hours a day as needed for clients and patients, but at the same time keeps the intimate atmosphere of the local neighborhood animal hospital
