Dr. Covino founded our hospital on a simple yet powerful belief: pets deserve the same level of veterinary medicine as people. Originally from Connecticut, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Biology from Iona College before graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. During veterinary school, he led research on canine acute infected pancreatitis. He completed a competitive 13-month rotating internship at Oradell Animal Hospital, a multi-specialty referral facility in New Jersey, where he trained alongside specialists in internal medicine, surgery, radiology, emergency vets, neurology, cardiology, and nutrition. After working as an associate in Naples for over five years, he designed and opened our modern animal hospital, personally overseeing every detail to ensure optimal patient care
