Overview
Animal ER of University Park is a well-equipped veterinary emergency hospital serving Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and University Park with diagnostic, surgical, and life-saving equipment. We are staffed by veterinarians and licensed or highly experienced veterinary technicians who are physically present during all operating hours
In 2002, the founders of Animal ER of University Park recognized the need for a comprehensive and compassionate veterinary emergency care hospital to serve both Manatee and north Sarasota counties where none existed. Since then, we have been open every night, weekend, and holiday. We are proud to work closely with the Canine Units of both Manatee and Sarasota counties, along with a multitude of animal rescue groups

What reviewers say
The emergency hospital features a brand new, exceptionally clean facility equipped with modern amenities and a comfortable waiting area for families. The veterinary team is widely regarded as deeply compassionate, highly knowledgeable, and exceptionally thorough during critical situations. Staff members communicate treatment plans clearly, provide frequent updates, and handle anxious pets with great patience and gentleness. While wait times can occasionally be extended due to critical triage protocols and service costs are reflective of emergency care, the practice consistently delivers dedicated, professional support around the clock.
