Overview

At Halifax Humane Society’s Spay & Neuter Clinic, we’re committed to providing safe, affordable surgical care that helps pets live healthier lives while reducing pet overpopulation in our community. From spay and neuter procedures to vaccinations, wellness services, and post-operative support, our experienced team is here to guide you through every step of your pet’s visit

Ten years ago, Halifax Humane Society sheltered over 15,000 homeless pets each year — many of whom faced euthanasia due to overcrowding. Thanks to community support and affordable sterilization programs, the intake of pets has dropped to fewer than 6,000 annually, and approximately 90% of those animals find loving new homes

What reviewers say

80% Positive sentiment
based on 523 reviews

The clinic provides high-volume, highly affordable spay, neuter, and vaccination services for pets and community animals. The staff is widely regarded as compassionate, professional, and dedicated to animal welfare, offering remarkably low prices compared to traditional veterinary practices. The facility runs an efficient intake and discharge process, though wait times can be long and communication or phone availability can occasionally be difficult. While the vast majority of experiences are positive, some visitors note challenges with scheduling or post-operative care coordination.
