Overview
Where TLC is our specialty. AAHA accredited veterinary care for dogs and cats
Dr. Wilson began a career in veterinary medicine in 1989 by attending classes for veterinary technicians at St Petersburg Junior College. She graduated with an A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 1991 and began working in the small animal field. As the profession grew and evolved, Dr. Wilson began teaching at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine; working in the anesthetic department teaching junior veterinary students the art of anesthesia. Eventually, Dr. Wilson came back to Florida to be closer to family and to attend the University of Central Florida studying pre-vet classes while working at the Daytona Beach Animal Emergency Clinic. She moved to Tennessee to accept a job at the veterinary college in Knoxville while finishing under grad studies. Dr. Wilson was teaching and working in the Intensive Care Ward while taking pre-vet classes over on the main campus. After completing the course work Dr. Wilson was accepted to attend the veterinary college at the University of Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 she took a job in central Kentucky. She worked as an associate veterinarian in Danville Kentucky for six years before finding her way back to Florida, and again – closer to family! Here in Florida, Dr. Wilson worked as an associate vet for a year while working on opening a new practice. Eustis area is perfect because the community and the people are very welcoming and supportive of a new enterprise. At this time the Animal Medical Center of Eustis is a full service small animal hospital – where we specialize in TLC!
