Overview

At Geneva Oaks Animal Hospital, we believe in providing your pets with the highest quality of veterinarian care – and we do it the old-fashioned way, with decades of experience, a deep knowledge of animals, and genuine dedication to the best interests of both you and your pets

Dr. David Jourdenais grew up in the 1960s and 70s in Tampa, Florida, where he spent his childhood rehabilitating and releasing injured, orphaned, and abandoned native Florida wildlife. After high school, David moved to Gainesville, Florida, in 1981 to attend the University of Florida as an undergraduate Poultry Science major. Upon graduating Valedictorian from UF’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, Dr. David returned to Central Florida. Dr. David initially practiced avian and exotic medicine at Winter Park Veterinary Clinic under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Hess. In 1991, he moved to Geneva and opened Geneva Oaks Animal Hospital alongside Dr. Janice Jourdenais, who had been building a farm-call equine and small ruminant veterinary clientele in the area. The hospital expanded in 1995 with the addition of a boarding and grooming facility. Dr. Janice has retired from practicing veterinary medicine. In 2025, Dr. Justine Alderman purchased Geneva Oaks Animal Hospital
