Overview

EveryPet is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable veterinary care, low-cost spay/neuter services, and pet retention programs to keep pets in homes and out of shelters

EveryPet, formerly known as First Coast No More Homeless Pets, was founded in 2002 when more than 23,000 animals were being euthanized each year in Jacksonville shelters. At the time, the city’s mayor convened an animal welfare task force, where our founder, Rick Ducharme, volunteered to serve. Through his research and travels, Rick discovered that targeted spay/neuter programs were the most effective solution to pet overpopulation. When no other organization stepped forward, he launched FCNMHP to fill that critical need. What began as a simple voucher program quickly grew. In 2009, we opened the Norwood Spay/Neuter Center and Community Clinic—one of the largest in the nation. By 2016, we expanded again with the Cassat Avenue Regional Veterinary Hospital, now one of the largest safety-net veterinary hospitals in the Southeast. Today, as EveryPet, we serve tens of thousands of pets and the people who love them each year. Through innovative programs, expanded access to veterinary care, and a steadfast commitment to saving lives, we continue to transform animal welfare across the region. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we remain dedicated to building a future where every pet has the chance to thrive

Mission — The mission of EveryPet is to make veterinary care affordable and accessible to all as we save lives by keeping dogs and cats in homes and out of shelters, provide low-cost spay/neuter services with emphasis on feral/community cats, and deliver a broad range of related programs and services

What reviewers say

60% Mixed sentiment
based on 2,867 reviews

This veterinary clinic is widely recognized for offering exceptionally affordable, discounted care and low-cost spay and neuter services, serving as a vital resource for pet owners on fixed budgets. The facility is generally described as clean and roomy, featuring a separate waiting space for cats. The veterinary staff and technicians are frequently praised for being compassionate, highly knowledgeable, and particularly comforting during end-of-life care and sensitive procedures. However, the practice struggles significantly with operational efficiency. Patients and visitors routinely experience exceedingly long wait times, both for walk-ins and scheduled appointments, alongside persistent communication breakdowns, difficulties reaching the office by phone, and scheduling errors at the front desk.
