Julington Creek Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Eric Winchester, Sr., and his wife Janis in 1975. They combined practices for large and small animals when they opened the hospital. Over time, as Mandarin grew, so did the population of smaller animals. Due to this shift, Julington Creek Animal Hospital's vet's focus moved to being an exclusively small animal practice in the mid-1980s. Dr. Winchester has dedicated his life to the health and well being of his patients. Because of this, his practice has grown to 5 veterinarians and now includes the 106 suite boarding facility and animal park, Julington Creek Animal Walk. In 1998, Dr. Winchester's son, Dr. Rod, joined the practice
