PGA Animal Clinic was founded on March 20, 1978, by our mentor and friend, Dr. Joseph E. Giurato (Sept. 9, 1944 – Sept. 16, 2018), and is proud to serve the pets and people of Palm Beach Gardens and our surrounding communities. Doc put his heart and soul into PGA Animal Clinic and had an incredible impact on the lives of many people and their beloved pets. Doc loved what he did and was committed to making every day count. We are proud to carry on his legacy by preserving PGA Animal Clinic as the most trusted family-owned veterinary clinic in our community. Honoring our family-owned roots and neighborhood culture is something we hold in great regard. Our current owners, Dr. Michael Gillen and Dr. Erica Bickel, both began working for Dr. Giurato as pre-veterinary students for many years before ultimately becoming veterinarians and purchasing the practice from Doc in 2014. Prior to officially joining our team full-time in 2023, Dr. Bickel primarily helped PGAAC behind the scenes while she focused on serving our community through her career as an emergency veterinarian. Since growing their own family with the addition of their daughter in 2021, Dr. Bickel and Dr. Gillen have worked tirelessly to strengthen and grow our PGA Animal Clinic Family so that we can continue to provide the very best care for your families
