One of the region's oldest and largest animal welfare agencies, Pet Alliance serves Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and parts of Brevard, Lake, and Volusia counties. We began as the Orlando Humane Society in 1937 — a beacon of hope for animals in need across Central Florida. In 2001, emphasizing animal welfare as our primary mission, we merged with the Humane Society of Seminole County to become the SPCA of Central Florida. In May 2014, with a new vision for transforming the historic role of animal shelters — working outside the walls of our facilities to engage the entire community — we became Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando
