Overview

We have been providing lower-cost spays and neuters for dogs and cats in Brevard County since 2007! We limit our services to spays, neuters, and general wellness care--referring pets with problems that involve diagnostics like ultrasound, radiographs, and extensive follow-up care to a full-service or specialized veterinary practice

Brevard Community Animal Hospital was started in 2007 as a small mobile spay/neuter clinic working with Animal Guardians of Brevard. Our mission was to decrease the number of cats being euthanized in Brevard County's South Animal Care Center by offering subsidized spays and neuters to pet cats belonging to the public on welfare or other government assistance. Lowe's allowed us to pick our patients up in their West Melbourne parking lot and return them there in the evening. In 2013 we moved into a stationary building in Malabar and changed our name to Brevard Spay/Neuter Clinic. That allowed us to perform spays and neuters for DOGS as well as cats. In 2016 we moved to our current location on US1 in Palm Bay and more than doubled the size of our clinic! On May 19, 2017 we officially gained our tax-exempt status

Mission — Our mission has been to decrease the number of cats and dogs entering these impoundments. For every 2,750 spays and neuters we perform in Brevard County we decrease the number of pets without homes by 10%!

What reviewers say

70% Positive sentiment
based on 826 reviews

This independent veterinary practice is widely recognized for offering highly affordable spay, neuter, and routine wellness services compared to traditional veterinary offices. The facility operates at a very high volume, which frequently leads to crowded waiting rooms, extended wait times for check-in and check-out, and difficulties reaching staff by phone. While many clients praise the compassionate, efficient care provided by the veterinary team and the helpful post-operative follow-up calls, others report significant concerns regarding communication breakdowns, billing discrepancies, and occasional post-surgical complications.
