Overview
Family-owned, personal care that puts you and your pet first. Fear Free, award-winning service & veterinarian in Plantation, FL
Since 1987, Central Broward Animal Hospital has been setting the standard for personalized, high quality veterinary care in Broward County. Dr. Jonathan Wald founded our hospital with a commitment to providing not just exceptional medical treatment, but also genuine compassion and family-oriented care. Our team’s mission remains rooted in a passion for veterinary medicine, a love for pets, and a deep respect for their families. From the beginning, Dr. Wald had a clear vision: to establish a top-tier animal hospital in the Fort Lauderdale area, and to support a rescue that saves sick or injured homeless animals in need of medical help. Today, we continue to fulfill this vision, offering the highest level of care to pets throughout Plantation, FL and beyond. In 1987, Dr. Wald opened the doors to Central Broward Animal Hospital in Plantation, Florida, with a simple mission: treat every pet like family and deliver the finest quality of medical care to the community. Starting with just three staff members, the hospital quickly became a trusted name, known for its warm, welcoming environment and exceptional veterinary expertise. Dr. Wald chose Plantation as the perfect location, close to where he had built lasting relationships with families in Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise, Davie, and Weston. Inspired by the encouragement and trust of his long-time clients, Dr. Wald made his dream a reality, creating a place where pets and their families could feel at home and confident in the care they received. More than three decades later, Central Broward Animal Hospital continues to uphold the same values that made us a success from the start. Now operating out of a state-of-the-art facility designed for the comfort of pets and their families, we remain dedicated to providing honest, compassionate care. Many of our team members have been with us for over 18 years, a testament to the close-knit, family-oriented culture we’ve built. Our unwavering commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine has earned us recognition as one of the top veterinary hospitals in Broward County, with clients traveling from as far as Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties to experience the level of care we offer
