St. Augustine Animal Clinic is a full service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Dr. Jack Schmidt is experienced in all types of conditions and treatments. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm environment so your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting his or her own St. Augustine veterinarian

Dr. Jack began working as a technician's assistant at the St. Augustine Animal Clinic in the summer of 1982. He externed at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. Jack graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degrees in 1988. He worked as an Associate Veterinarian for 6 years under the keen eye of Dr. John Van Olphen before becoming the owner of St. Augustine Animal Clinic in 1994

We also offer state of the art technology for our clients such as cold laser therapy and digital radiographs. We are devoted to providing a balanced work environment for our employees with the opportunity for both personal and educational growth. We also strive to better St. Augustine by donating to a variety of charities that will give back to our community. Our clinic is rapidly growing to expand our services to meet the needs of all our clients, and will continue to be here to serve our community for years to come
