Overview

Kanapaha Veterinary Services is a large animal ambulatory practice serving North-Central Florida. Our service area includes (but not limited to) Gainesville, Newberry, Archer, Alachua, High Springs, Lake Butler, Lacrosse, Ft. White, Lake City, Live Oak, Trenton, Chiefland, Bell, Bronson, Williston and Micanopy. Our practice treats backyard to performance horses, cattle, goats, sheep, and other farm animals

Dr. Eric Hiers and his wife Dr. Allison Hiers have been an integral part of the health and well being of the beloved pets of the North Central Florida area since 2010. They acquired both Trenton Animal Hospital and Kanapaha Veterinary Services in 2010 from the previous owner Dr. Ted Yoho. In 2023, Drs. Eric and Allison opened Tricounty Veterinary Emergency Clinic to fill an urgent need for after-hours small animal emergency services in the Levy, Gilchrist, Dixie and Alachua county areas
