Oak Grove Animal Clinic is excited to be the FIRST and ONLY wellness and urgent care clinic to serve Athens, GA and the surrounding areas. We are locally owned and operated so we especially value our personal relationship with your pet. Our goal is to provide you and your pets with the best veterinary experience possible, day or night!

Dr. Parsons and Dr. Liu first met many years ago when they were both students at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Dawgs!) Dr. Parsons came down for school all the way from Wisconsin. While Dr. Liu was right in his own backyard, being born and raised in Athens, Georgia (a true local Athenian!) After graduation, Dr. Parsons found her temporary home at a rural practice in town, honing her skills in surgery and disease management as well as routine wellness and preventive care. Dr. Liu traveled the southeast working at multiple emergency and specialty practices and learning the ropes of urgent and emergent medicine and surgery. While Dr. Parsons wished she had an option for her clients who desperately needed care the same day or after hours without having to schedule an appointment, Dr. Liu wished for more continuity of care. Wouldn’t it be great if your regular veterinarian, the one you see for vaccines and wellness, was available at 10 pm when you had an urgent issue as well? That’s when the idea for Oak Grove Animal Clinic was born. The doctors wanted an option for people who wanted quality medicine and compassionate care – day or night!
