Persimmon Creek Animal Hospital was established in April of 2009 after almost a year of construction. The hospital is located on a small two acre farm near Avery Elementary School at 7875 Union Hill Road, Canton, Georgia 30115. Persimmon Creek derives its name from a small region in the north Georgia mountains that Dr. Thompson had become familiar with during her early years of practice. The concept for Persimmon Creek was to build a facility that had a rural feel that was in-kind with the surrounding area but, was large enough to house a modern design for a state of the art animal hospital. As of April 2015 Persimmon Creek has nearly 2,500 clients and has treated dogs, cats, pigs, rabbits, owls, Siberian lynx, and other assorted pets
