Ruby was built by pet parents and veterinary professionals who've been through the scary moments. We started this hospital to give pets the urgent care they deserve, with ER-trained doctors, a calm environment, and none of the stress of a traditional emergency room. Ruby was born August 10, 2020 and was a bundle of energy and joy from the start. At the time, our founder Jason and his wife Elizabeth were living in New York City, and Ruby quickly came to embrace the energy and excitement of the city. She tragically passed away at the young age of 18 months on February 5, 2022 following a months-long medical journey involving a spay complication. While she was only with us for a short time, Ruby has inspired us to build a more modern and sustainable future for pets, pet parents, and dedicated veterinary professionals everywhere. In 2023, Jason and Elizabeth moved to Georgia in 2023 to launch Ruby Veterinary Urgent Care in Johns Creek, GA
