Overview

South Georgia Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic (SGSNC) provides the compassionate solution to end the unnecessary euthanasia of cats and dogs by offering affordable, high-quality spay and neuter services. The vision of SGSNC is to improve the health and well-being of cats and dogs by partnering with the animal welfare community to provide life-saving programs and compassionate solutions to pet overpopulation. We are a non-profit organization and all surgery fees are subsidized through the generosity of our donors and sponsors

In 2008, a group of local animal advocates came together to discuss trying to overcome some of the issues of the large numbers of animals, particularly cats, being processed through local animal shelters. These meetings resulted in the establishment, in 2009, of Miss Kitty Feline Sanctuary, Inc., a no-kill, no-cage, and all-volunteer endeavor. Since that time the community has shown its support for these efforts. Recently, a movement across America has recognized that the best way to solve the large over-population of unwanted animals is to offer low cost spays and neuters to communities so that large numbers of pets and community animals can be sterilized, thus preventing thousands of unwanted animal births. Early in 2014, a campaign was launched to raise funds for the construction of a high volume, low cost spay and neuter clinic in Thomasville to serve the South Georgia and North Florida areas. Community support and the receipt of a generous grant from Petsmart Charities, resulted in the construction of The South Georgia Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic which opened its doors in Thomasville, Georgia, in June of 2015. In addition, Fix Georgia Pets partnered with us to provide additional funding and education

Mission — The mission of the South Georgia Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic is to decrease the number of homeless animals thereby decreasing the local euthanasia rates in our area by providing reduced cost spays and neuters for all dogs and cats
