Marion Animal Hospital is a full service small animal medical hospital committed to providing high quality medical and surgical care to our patients

Marion Animal Hospital was established in 1970 by Dr. Robert Fanton, at its former location of 448 7th Avenue. Dr. Fanton did both small animal medicine and some equine work. The practice was purchased in 1983 by Dr. Marvin Schmitt. Dr. Schmitt discontinued equine work to focus on small animal medicine. Dr. Schmitt owned the practice for 21 years and sold it in 2004, so that he could start enjoying retirement. Dr. Ryan Bock purchased the practice at that time, and has owned it since. The practice was totally remodeled during Dr. Bock’s ownership but the size of the practice outgrew the facility in the last few years, resulting in the decision to move next door to 434 7th Avenue in October of 2021. This facility is larger with more space, exam rooms, and a much more easily accessible parking lot
