Reed and his wife, Dr. Sohaila Maleki, met during veterinary school and moved to Boise in 2004. Together, they opened Habitat Veterinary Hospital in 2007—a one-room wellness clinic that has since grown into a trusted leader in the Treasure Valley veterinary community. In 2023, Reed helped lead Habitat’s expansion to the Wood River Valley with the acquisition of St. Francis Pet Clinic in Ketchum, originally founded by Dr. Karsten Fostvedt
