Founded in 1975 by the late Dr. Barbara Stein, a pioneer in veterinary medicine and one of four women in her graduating class, Chicago Cat Clinic focuses solely on feline veterinary care. We are proud to be part of the legacy that helped transform the way leading doctors feel about feline-specific practices. In previous years, cats were treated as small dogs. Dr. Stein traveled globally and within the U.S., lecturing fellow veterinarians about the tremendous differences between cats and dogs. After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1990, following Dr. Stein’s death in 1999, Dr. Nordwall took charge of the clinic, eventually purchasing it from Dr. Stein’s estate in 2001. He took great pride in maintaining and improving upon the high-quality service that the public had come to expect from Chicago Cat Clinic. Dr. Nordwall retired in the spring of 2021, leaving veterinarians Dr. Larissa Olenych, Dr. Nicole Frey, and Dr. Jillian Juna and their fantastic support staff responsible for providing the highest quality wellness care possible for your beloved feline. Still operating in its original location on the northwest side of Chicago, Chicago Cat Clinic’s veterinarians and staff are excited about the future
