1948: Jersey Calhoun Veterinary Hospital was established in Jerseyville by Dr. Albert Van Walleghen in 1948. The original location was on the corner of 267 and County Road, the current State Farm Insurance Agency. 1952: Dr. Emil Gast joined the practice. 1963: Dr. Jim Hall joined the practice. 1965: A new state of the art clinic was built at the current location, 1201 S State Street. 1986: Dr. Albert Van Walleghen retired and was replaced by his son Dr. Donald Van Walleghen. 1987: Dr. Emil Gast retired and was replaced by Dr. David Wendell. 1997: Our current facility is built, designed by renowned Veterinary Architect Wayne Usiak. 2020: Dr. Daniel Wendell joined. 2023: Dr. David Wendell retired and was replaced by Dr Mark and Anna Wendell. 2024: Dr. Don Van Walleghen retired and was replaced by Dr Hannah Moore
