Dr. Kristin Brand has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a little girl. She was only 12 years old when she secured her first job in the animal care field—she started working as a kennel attendant at a local animal hospital, working her way up to the technician position a few years later. She continued working at veterinary clinics through her undergraduate studies at Lake Forest College before going to veterinary school at Ross University in the Caribbean. While interning here at Richmond Veterinary Clinic in 2007, Dr. Brand was invited to work full-time after graduation, and she gladly accepted
