Elmwood Grove, founded by Dr. Lawrence Fox, and his wife, Carlina, wanted to ensure that the surrounding communities of River Grove, and Elmwood Park, were given the gold standard veterinary care. With the philosophy of 'treat all clients the way we wanted to be treated' Dr. Fox, and his wife, raised their family within the four walls of 8035 Grand, watching their three boys grow and flourish, alongside the veterinary hospital. In 1994 Elmwood Grove expanded into what you see today. While continuing to grow Elmwood Grove and servicing the community, it was soon realized that the current space could no longer expand, and in 2020 new locations began to be scouted out for relocation. Being in River Grove is extremely important to the hospital to continue to serve the community. In January 2024, Elmwood Grove relocated into its new, permanent home at 8330 Grand, just a few blocks down the road
