Overview

Chateau Dog & Cat Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility. Our professional and courteous staff seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care, and dental care for our highly-valued patients

Chateau Dog and Cat Hospital first opened its doors to the greater Evansville and surrounding area in 1970. We are proud to have recently celebrated 50 years of service to our community and its furry family members and pet parents! Our history over the past 50 years is truly one of bringing together teams and best practices. Dr. Ron and Dr. Lee Hodoval opened Chateau and operated the hospital for many years before partnering with Dr. Randy Davis, as he merged his Evansville Animal Hospital with Chateau Dog and Cat Hospital. With Dr. Craig Butler’s recent retirement, Animal Medical Services and their team have joined us, along with Dr. Ellen Brown. We are also proud to welcome Dr. Alexis Zobel to the Chateau family

What reviewers say

88% Positive sentiment
based on 350 reviews

Chateau Dog & Cat Hospital is a long-standing veterinary practice that provides comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats. The facility is widely regarded for its exceptionally kind, compassionate, and professional staff who handle anxious, aggressive, or fearful pets with notable patience and care. Veterinarians are frequently praised for being knowledgeable, thorough in their examinations, and communicative when explaining treatment options. While appointment availability is often flexible with same-day accommodations common, some experience high pricing or wait times once inside. The clinic handles emergency situations and end-of-life care with empathy and support, though capabilities are limited regarding advanced imaging like ultrasound.
