Pet Refuge ABC Clinic

Michiana's first and only low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Pet Refuge has promoted spay/neuter for over 30 years. We understand that historically spay/neuter has been cost prohibitive for many, and the need for a low-cost clinic is an essential component in controlling the pet overpopulation crisis

The Pet Refuge ABC Clinic opened in 2011. Since 2011, we have completed over 70,000 spay or neuter surgeries! We are the only low-cost, high-volume, high-quality spay neuter clinic in the Michiana area. The Pet Refuge ABC clinic is a 501(c)3 organization that opened in hopes to decrease the number of unwanted dogs and cats. Originally, the Pet Refuge ABC Clinic was located in Granger, IN. The clinic operated there for three years. The clinic relocated in October of 2014 to South Bend, IN. The clinic now has an additional 1,000 square feet which was much needed with the large demand for low cost spaying and neutering in the Michiana area. The Pet Refuge ABC Clinic offers services to the public and also works closely with many open-admission shelters, rescue groups, and feral cat groups. The Pet Refuge ABC Clinic is a highly-effective nonprofit organization dedicated to ending pet over-population and offering a service to Michiana area residents

Mission — Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the euthanization of healthy animals simply because there is no place for them. If more pets are sterilized, there will be fewer litters. If there are fewer litters, there will be fewer animals for shelter and rescue groups to take in, thereby reducing stress and financial burden on these organizations and the communities where they reside
