St. John Animal Clinic opened its doors in 1970 with Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Jaras from Highland Animal Hospital. In 1972, Dr. David Austin began working at the clinic and eventually purchased it. In 1989, Dr. Lisa Preston joined Dr. Austin and began growing and cultivating the clinic into what we have today: 5 doctors and nearly 40 support staff! Dr. Austin retired in 2009, which allowed Dr. Melissa Buggie and Dr. Christy Cooper to partner with Dr. Preston. St. John Animal Clinic has gone through a couple of remodels through the years. The latest remodel of St. John Animal Clinic was completed in the winter of 2019. This remodel allowed us to have a cat-only waiting area and exam room, a total of 8 exam rooms, a second surgery suite, a comfort room, and an isolation ward complete with outside entry. St. John Animal Clinic celebrated 50 years of exemplary service to our clients and patients in 2020
