Mike grew up in a small farming town in Oklahoma and outside of Wichita. He attended college at the University of Kansas and Oklahoma State University where he graduated in 2003 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Mike worked in a mixed animal practice for 3 years and then started Arbor Creek Animal Hospital in 2006
