Legacy Trails Veterinary Service

Legacy Trails is a mobile-only veterinary practice serving primarily large-animal patients in southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri. We come to your farm or home and provide veterinary care for your livestock or pets on the spot

Our practice name, Legacy Trails, is in homage to Dr. Shanks’s grandfather, Orlan Shanks. Orlan raised cattle in the area and served many cattle clients for years through the local stockyards. He passed his passion for raising cattle and horses, loving the rural lifestyle, and telling larger-than-life stories on to many members of his family, including Dr. Shanks. This practice honors him and the legacy he left behind
