Overview
The Pet Clinic is located in the heart of St. Matthews, just off Shelbyville Road. This family owned practice has had a tradition of skilled, compassionate care for your treasured pets since 1996
As most of you may know, we lost our beloved founder, Dr. Bill Hickey, suddenly of a heart attack in March of 2013. Our daughter, Sarah, graduated from Tuskegee Veterinary School in May 2014. She had hoped to join her father at The Pet Clinic upon graduation. I know nothing would have made him more proud! As we struggle to deal with this loss, we continue to move forward, looking to the future of The Pet Clinic and carrying on Dr. Hickey's legacy. In May 2013, two dedicated, caring and experienced veterinarians joined The Pet Clinic: Dr. Bill Wellnitz and Dr. Lori Young. Sadly, we lost Dr. Wellnitz to an unexpected heart attack in October 2016. After many years of dedicated service, Dr. Young retired due to personal reasons in October 2017
