Overview

We strive to provide the best quality veterinary care to the Folsom, Covington, Franklinton areas and outskirts of St. Tammany and surrounding parishes on the Northshore

Established by Dr. Normie Miller as Miller Animal Hospital, the clinic operated under her excellent leadership until her sudden and heartbreaking passing in 2019. Following the loss of Dr. Miller, her mom, staff, and friends rallied together to keep the clinic functioning to provide the community with unwavering pet care. However, it proved challenging for a non-veterinarian to own a veterinary hospital. Earlier in 2025, Dr. Christie McHughes Barr, a local, experienced veterinarian of 21 years as well as a friend and colleague of Dr. Miller, felt compelled to purchase the practice and continue Dr. Miller's dream and vision. Folsom is a growing, thriving community that has a need for compassionate, affordable, yet progressive veterinary medicine. Reopening as Village Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to being stronger than before and providing the best quality veterinary care to Folsom, Covington, Franklinton and all the small-town communities on the outskirts of St. Tammany and the surrounding parishes

Mission — Our goal is to educate our clients about exceptional pet care, public health, and promote healthy pets with happy clients. We strive to deliver convenient, compassionate, customized, quality care in a relaxed and welcoming environment
