Kat Vet was founded by Dr. Kathleen Elstrott (aka Dr. Kat) as a way to offer low cost spaying and neutering to residents of Tangipahoa, Livingston, and St. Helena parishes in order to help reduce the overpopulation of unwanted cats and dogs. Operating since 2019, Kat Vet now has a physical presence in downtown Ponchatoula, Louisiana where pet parents can schedule appointments to bring their cats, dogs, and rabbits for economical spaying and neutering

Mission — Kat Vet’s mission is to reduce animal suffering and pet overpopulation in South Louisiana through affordable spay/neuter services, rescue, and adoption
