South Shreveport Animal Hospital is a progressive, full-service small animal facility staffed by a team of animal lovers in Shreveport, LA, eager to partner with you to keep your pets healthy and happy throughout their lives
Founded by Dr. Gordon Calahan in 1985, South Shreveport Animal Hospital has been providing quality medical, surgical, and dental services to Shreveport, Bossier City, Benton, Keithville, and the surrounding communities of Louisiana. In 2005, we completed a large expansion project that doubled the size of the hospital. At that time, we added a full-scale luxury kennel equipped to suit all of your pet’s boarding needs
Mission — our philosophy is to be proactive and prevent illness through preventative health care and to treat acquired conditions with the most appropriate techniques and equipment

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (closed 1–2 PM for lunch) Walk-ins & appointments available 8:00–11:00 AM and 2:00–5:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Sunday: Boarding pick-up only from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM ( Hospital is not open for appointments or other services )
